This is a tale of love and loss, lies and manipulation, where even the most complex lives barely scratch the surface of the twisting truth beneath.
The story gets hairy in places - heavy angst, some violence, drug use, betrayal, bereavement, manipulation - but the truth will out and our heroes will get their happy ending.

In celestial fucking robes, at that, his wings resplendent, and appearing, in a way that enrages Crowley like nothing else, slimmer, as if he’s all but lost the gut.
He brushes nervously at his pale curls, and his angelic halo winks out.
The air around them is hazy and thick, pink with magical resistance so that humans nearby aren't going to witness their spat. Because it is going to be one. A spat. A snit. A row.

Anthony J. Crowley has taken the final step towards his fall.
Waking up in a hospital bed with a broken wrist and a severed eye, his whole career in jeopardy, he has no other choice than to make a change and finally go to rehab.
All he can hope is that nobody there will know who is he, allowing him to find the peace he needs to heal his body and mind. And maybe, maybe write again.
Wishful thinking of course, when your face has been on telly and your voice on the radio for the last fifteen years. But there is a man there absolutely oblivious to Crowley's fame. Oblivious too, thank whoever’s up there, to how smitten he is by the young, bubbly librarian.

When Crowley is pulled into his orbit by sheer misfortune, attraction comes first and understanding comes far too late. As scrutiny closes in and truths surface, Aziraphale’s greatest risk is no longer exposure — it is attachment.
