The bolt of electricity tearing through him brought Tim back to reality for a moment. Tim? Tim. Right?
The cackling, ripping him apart both mentally and physically almost seemed to correct him. No, not Tim. Not him.

Abel hated loud noises. They made him want to curl up and hide. He was easily startled, he knew that as much. Any sudden bang or crash would make him go into flight or flight mode (though he usually subconsciously chose flight) and he had to try and calm himself down. Pardon his language, but it sucked.
What was funny was that the loud noises weren’t even happening right now. He still felt like they were happening, like they were blasting in his ears and taking over all of his thoughts, even though his little apartment was utterly quiet and the only noise was the buzz of the ceiling lights overhead. That felt too loud too.
OR; Abel is too overwhelmed with everything he's experienced today.
