Summary:

Fridays are the best, as all nine-year-old boys know well. Okay, Phoenix is pretty sure that his best friends would disagree on why. In comparison, Phoenix doesn’t really have a reason for liking Fridays. He just does, and this Friday won’t be any different. Larry gets picked up by his mom almost as soon as the bell rings, and the rest of their class’s parents soon follow suit—except for Phoenix’s and, oddly, Miles’s.
