Her power changed theirs as they gained her massive powers that rewrote theirs. They were cleansed entirely healing them both and merged their personalities as one with a shared desire both sides agreed on and next thing Akemi knew, the Nanao that she thought died from being taken by an Orangutan...came back as a rescued stray taken in by another family years later...and sins come home to roost, as always.
