Summary

Tony can’t help but blame himself for what he did to his boyfriend. It was a violation of the highest order. He should have never touched that bell.

Every Time a Bell Rings by Trickstress(This is the fic I missed when bookmarking everything, now got 'em all)

“I don’t hate you. I knew the risks when I agreed to start studying magic and I could have easily done it to myself. I love you, Tony Stark and we’re going to figure this out.”Tony stared at him for a moment before letting out a soft smile that melted Stephen’s heart.
“I suppose it’s fitting that an angel is resolving me of my sins-“
“Oh my fucking god, Tony.”
“You shouldn’t take your dad’s name in vain.”
“I changed my mind. I actually hate you.”
-Okay so. Before reaching it to find out if in wrong or not. But
I'm getting vibes (stopped reading when I reached the part where Tony and Peter 'disappear' after Wong) that Tony and Peter, maybe even Wong, decided to make it so Stephen doesn't need to deal with the situation by himself, and use the artifact on themselves too. So wings for everyone!
Ha was right! And no for Wong, I was 50 50 between him just being part of the plot & supervising the transformation, or going through it too. Just supervised itBtw even tho we don't see it, since we know it brings bird behavior, adding Iron Avian
Stephen's wings are dark black with almost a navy blue reflection to the feathers, and are at least sixteen feet when extended
Tony's wings are charcoal gray speckled with black
Peter's wings are chestnut brown, not dissimilar to his eyes-
“Ever since you got your wings, Wong had been researching to see if there would be any more information on your new condition. Any side effects to worry about. There weren't any immediate ones but there was one glaring issue.” Tony looked Stephen in the eyes, squeezing his hand as gently as possible.“There’s a reason why people thought people with wings were angels. They are incredibly long lived. The few that the sorcerers had managed to interview had been alive over eight-hundred years and still looked to be in their prime. My mistake cost you the ability to have a normal life, Stephen.”
“My life has never been normal.” The sorcerer replied automatically. Honestly, his brain was still blue-screening. The thought that he would live thousands of years didn’t register, that sort of thing was always an option when working with magic. It was the fact that these two had known that and decided to do this…
Peter let out a snort beside him but Tony was still focused entirely on Stephen.
“I love you. I wasn’t going to let a dumb mistake on my part turn our relationship into some dumb tragic pseudo-Greek love story. So, I decided I would join you and then the kid didn’t want to be left out so now we have a kid who’s human, bird, and spider.”
“If you call me Spider-Bird, I am leaking those videos of you dressing up in Stephen’s robes and pretending to do magic.” Peter said with a grin and the inventor paled.
“You did what?” Stephen laughed, a grin forming on his face. Tony smacked the back of his head with a wing and it only had Stephen and Peter laughing harder. It took a few minutes to calm down, but the three wound up cuddling on the couch together. Stephen could not think of anywhere he would rather be.
“Tony, I would gladly spend the rest of my life with you. I wasn’t expecting a proposal on Christmas, but-“ Stephen trailed off with a smile as his boyfriend began to freak out. God, he was in love with this man.
“Shit, this was a proposal?! I don’t have a ring. Do you want a ring? Jewelry stores are closed right now but I could make you one-“ The inventor rambled and Peter took the moment to throw a pillow at his father.
“You just gave up traditional humanity for your boyfriend. I think that’s more than proposing.”
“Shush genius child, I am freaking out here!”
Stephen could only laugh as the two most important people in his life bickered. Yes, growing wings was certainly not expected but he wouldn’t trade this for anything.

Stephen hummed as the deep and comforting voice surrounded him in comfort. He knew it. He knew that voice but he just couldn’t place it.
“Come on Stephen, lemme see those beautiful blues.”
It felt like clawing himself out of a dark cave but Stephen finally pulled himself out of unconsciousness and found himself flinching from the harsh bright light wherever he was.”
Stephen wakes up to find the world as well as he and Tony are a lot different than they were before.

Being a sorcerer married to a billionaire who flew around in a metal suit while their adopted son had spider powers and swung around New York was pretty weird. Yes, it was, but he wouldn’t trade it for anything. Stephen just didn’t know it could get even…dare he say it, stranger than that.
