Summary
Lan Wangji watches her serving them both. “You were crying earlier.”
“Nah.” Wei Wuxian shrugs one shoulder. Then has to fix her spaghetti strap from sliding down her arm. “It’s just. Spicy. And.” Her argument is weak, and Lan Wangji pierces right through it with another of those excavating looks. Wei Wuxian imagines herself at the depths of a gold mine, staring at the glow of threading lines that glimmer in veins on the wall.
Looking into her lap, Wei Wuxian gathers up the flowers into a bundle and hands them over to Lan Wangji. Icy and plain-faced, Lan Wangji takes them and lays the drooping bouquet across her wide palm. Then, quizzical, she regards Wei Wuxian with a silent question.
“I brought them for my date,” she says. Wei Wuxian clears her throat. “He didn’t want them, then…”
“Left?”
Exhaling, relieved she doesn’t have to say it, Wei Wuxian nods.

Wangji looks up from where she’s buried in between Wei Ying’s legs. Wei Ying is wide eyed, paused to stillness, the same as her brother and Nie Mingjue in the doorway.
“This isn’t what it looks like.” She says calmly.
Lan Xichen makes a dying noise.
Nie Mingjue raises an eyebrow. “It looks like you were eating out your secretary on your multimillion desk.”Lan Wangji blinks, considering, then nods. “Then it’s exactly what it looks like.”

“Is jiejie buying A-Ying?” Wei Ying sniffs, looking confused.
Wangji opens her mouth, closes it. Opens it again. “I am.” She confirms.“Okay!” Wei Ying beams now, voice still a little teary but eyes happy. “Will jiejie keep A-Ying then?”
“Forever.” Wangji chokes out.

“How do I kill someone?”Lan Qiren starts hacking his lungs out. Her father pauses pouring the tea.
Lan Yi meets her eyes, calmly. “What height and weight are we talking kiddo?”
(Wangji becomes Class President and gains a taste for leadership. Lan Yi may or may not be an assassin)
