The progress of an interesting relationship. It would make for a lovely bedtime story as long as you edit some of the unneeded parts out. Or at least Riko thinks so. Hyuuga isn't so certain and Teppei is happy to tell it.

(or, A Novelist Walks into a Bar)
[“I wasn’t aware I’d missed a deadline,” Tetsuya intones, mock-seriously, because he’d known exactly when he’d missed it, down to the minute.]
In which Kuroko Tetsuya is a best-selling novelist, Akashi Seijuuro is his editor, and who said best-sellers had to be well-written anyway?

Post Winter Cup!
In an interview, Akashi is asked about a nickname of his - the Red King - and if he ever found a Red Queen. The answer is yes.
Seirin, upon reading the interview, try to find out who that mysterious girlfriend is. They're mildly shocked when Kuroko admits that he's the Red Queen. They're utterly baffled when Kuroko claims it's because Akashi used to give all GoM-members chess-oriented names.
Now Kuroko is left wondering if Akashi meant something more by calling Kuroko his Red Queen...
Obviously, they need to talk things out. -

When Hound #4 is drafted to join Division 1, mixed reactions are received.
“You should be careful with Hound #4.”
Kuroko, sipping lukewarm lemon tea, pauses. “And why is that, Inspector Kise?”
The blond laughs at the astringent look marring Kuroko’s face, setting down his cup of espresso. “Because he’s got two of him inside — you’d never know which one you’re dealing with. One is a veneered charitable businessman, and the other,” he shrugs, “our resident sociopath slash serial killer. Always be on your tiptoes, Kurokocchi.”

Summary
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer’s lease hath all too short a date.If Seijūrō stays, Tetsuya stays. If Tetsuya leaves, Seijūrō leaves. The rest of the Rakuzan starters don't argue; they're an exclusive couple like that, and everyone's come to accept it as it is.
