Phil never expected to see his old brother-in-arms again, especially not to capture him and drag him to an unfair trial where Phil is summarily ordered to be executed. Phil moved on, built a life in the freedom they fought for, but Techno seems unchanged. None of Phil's pleas move him.
However, the reason for this betrayal of trust is nothing Phil could have imagined. What's held hostage for Techno's good behavior is something he cannot risk losing.
But even when he gets it back, it may be too late to save Phil as well...

Ranboo is safe, or as safe as Techno can keep them. But Phil's last plea rings in his ears, and he must return to the planet he fought to free, the planet he's been kept from for so long, to take care of the children Phil left behind.
But how will Tommy and Wilbur feel, when their father's murderer appears on their doorstep?~
Ranboo trusted, leaned into the breastplate of Mr. Techno's armor, and let go. The man in front of the room was yelling something, and crying even harder than they were, tears carving lines down their face. He was talking to Mr. Techno, and then he was on the floor, shocked by the cuffs in a way Ranboo was much too familiar with.
They watched over Mr. Techno’s shoulder as the man shook on the floor, and wondered who he was.
