“Oh, you thought?” Hargrove asks, a tight, mean smile tugging at his lips. “You’re not very good at that, though, are you?” Eddie presses his lips together, an angry flush rising on his face as a familiar heat coils in his gut—anger, frustration, humiliation—making him clench his fists.
