"Ma? Is that you?" His voice is shaky, silently pleading to whatever gods will listen that his mother isn't hurt.
The door to the bedroom suddenly opens, his mother covered in blood head to toe, he lets out a breath he hadn't been aware he was holding, he sees a body, the mans body, before she suddenly slams the door shut, bending down to be face-to-face with Shuuji.
"My darling, I'm sorry I couldn't pick you up today, I was.." She trails off, her eyes subtly darting to the door to her bedroom, "Busy." Is what she says.
He looks at the blood covering his mother, he nods his head wordlessly.

"Lollies won't help my Ma pay the bills," He passes the paper back, moving to walk away from the man, "Sorry, I hope you fi-" He's cut off.
"No wait! How about money?" The man asks.
Shuuji pauses, turning back to the man, "How much do you have?" He asks.
"Uh, how about, fifty dollars a minute? Is that okay?" The man asks.
Shuuji smirks, "You've got yourself a deal, sir," He says simply, turning in the direction of the bar, "This way." He starts walking.

Osamu Dazai, that was his name, Osamu Dazai, Dazai Osamu, he didn't like it.
His name was Shuuji Tsuishima, not Osamu Dazai.
And yet.. there was nothing he could do because who is he, to deny the boss of the biggest crime syndicate in Yokohama? He's 10, if Dazai Osamu was what that man wanted him to be, then he'd just have to deal with it.
