Whatever he had been expecting, it hadn’t been this. No one could have expected this. As he took in the scene, Mum felt the world crashing down around him. He’d never seen anything like this. He’d been a medical officer with the 212th longer than Cody had been their Commander. He’d been a field medic on more missions than he wished to count. None of that had prepared him for what he was seeing.
