Summary
“Hey,” he says, voice masking a waver with a show of forced bravado. “Don’t hit me for suggesting this, okay? Just tell me ‘no,’ and I’ll act like I never said a word. But…”
Steve’s breathing goes tight as he waits for the words to spill over Eddie’s lips.
“We could try something, just you and me. A little experiment. Clothes on, not too weird, just…letting you see if it’s something you would be into. An innocent, no-strings tester.”
Steve’s stomach is in knots, and he can’t tell if it’s anticipation or nervousness. “Wh — what sort of experiment?”
“I could…” Eddie offers, twirling his hair around a finger and tugging it around to hide his pinking cheeks, trying to look for all the world like he has no ulterior motivations. “I could let you spank me. Over the jeans, just to see how it feels to you.”

Summary
Eddie slips into the teasing as naturally as a second skin, grinning and leaning over into Steve’s space.
“Aww, puppy’s ears perked up at the sound of his own name?” He condescends, hand raising to ruffle the sweaty, brown fringe hanging over Steve’s eyes. “Be a good boy and fetch your ball back.”
It’s familiar. A joke like so many others Eddie has thrown his way; and by the pattern, Eddie expects Steve toss his hand away and tell him to fuck off, in a tone that’s way too friendly to actually mean it.
What he gets instead are beat red cheeks, and frazzled spluttering.
Steve opens his mouth, then closes it again, a strangled noise escaping, which only serves to fluster him further. Then one of the boys shouts in the distance, and Steve snaps up to instant attention, ramrod straight, and he marches away awkwardly.
“What the fuck was that?” Robin snickers. “He looked like you broke him!”
And he had, hadn’t he?
Eddie can’t quite believe it, even as the realization settles over him of what exactly he just witnessed:
He found Steve Harrington’s button.
And who would Eddie Munson be, if he didn’t press it?
