After the battle, Bilbo is hurt by Thorin's actions on the ramparts. He flees without a word to the company back to the Shire where his world is changed forever. What happens though when years later Bilbo is called back to Erebor by the other half of his soul? Would Bilbo be able to move past what happened then or is the bond broken forever?

Summary
This is an alternate beginning to how I wanted to start my main story.
In this one, the Company all go back to Bag End to help Thorin confess his feelings for Bilbo. Although, Bilbo is still dealing with what happened between them on the ramparts. In addition, Bilbo now has two new family members in Kili, an injured dwarf he had stumbled upon in the forest, and Frodo, the orphan of his dear deceased cousins. Everything becomes a little more complicating.

In the main story of this series, Chapter 23 is when you find out that Kili is pregnant. The next Chapter, 24, is when Kili explain to Ori that he feels stressed out and you get the vibe that he is also hiding something. He seems fearful when talking about the birth to Ori even if the other dwarf doesn't catch it. Ori tells Kili about how meditating could help to alleviate some of his stress. In chapter 8 of the main story, you learn from Fili that Ori had rejected the bond with Dwalin at first because Ori was insecure. He believed that Dwalin could never love a dwarf like him. Summary
In chapter 2 of the main story, you learn that Balin had a soulmate, a wife, and kids but they perished in the dragon attack. In chapter 6, you learn that Dori’s soulmate suffered the same fate. In chapter 3 and 7, you learn that Dori and Balin have something going on. In chapter 7, they talk about the concept of “consent” when it comes to the soulbond. Eventually in the main story, Balin and Dori get together but it’s not a “soulbond” but a regular relationship. In chapter 21, Balin gets into a brawl at a tavern protecting Dori’s honor. This is a drabble after that scene.
