It's nearly disgusting how perfect of a bite is left behind, tearing through the red skin and supple flesh of the fruit still clutched loose between her lithe fingers. Linda doesn't find it disgusting, though.

On the surface, Mr Cross isn't a man that should be good with kids. He's crass, he laughs loud and almost cackle-like in a way that scares more than spreads joy, he's brutish and unforgiving at times.
Except, seeing him in action, Duke can't help but hold some adoration for the man.
