Summary
Therion tended to be a cocky man. He had been very sure that a couple of stupid birds and a stupider spider wouldn’t be able to best him, especially not with three other stupid people to back him up. Two of them were even competent.
He’d been wrong. With Tressa and Alfyn both unconscious and H’aanit and himself gravely injured, they had to flee. H’aanit picked up Alfyn (there’s no way Therion would have been able to carry him), and Therion grabbed Tressa. They ran, thankfully faster than their adversaries cared to follow. They ran. Different directions.
