Summary
Amelia Bones, director of the DMLE, was having a normal Tuesday filled with meetings, paperwork, and more meetings. Nothing whatsoever was out of the ordinary...at least until Severus Snape showed up and began shouting about James Potter in the middle of the auror office. Now she's got a kidnapping case on her hands, a few assumptions that need to be reevaluated IMMEDIATELY, and more than a few mysteries to unravel. Chief among them: what does Gilderoy Lockhart have to do with any of this?
This story follows Chapter 24 of my multi-chapter fic, "Unwanted". This can probably be read on it's own, but it works much better if you've got a bit more context.

Summary
After living at Hogwarts with her adoptive father, Severus Snape, in the Hogwarts dungeons since she was seven, it's finally Daisy's turn to be sorted. Will she join her older brother in Hufflepuff, or become a member of her dad's house? Or maybe she's destined to go somewhere totally different. Daisy doesn't care, so long as the sorting hat puts her somewhere. Not being sorted isn't an option, right? She's lived at Hogwarts for so long, what will happen if there's no longer a place for her? She hopes she's not about to find out.
This is a one-shot following the events of my story Unwanted. It will make a lot more sense if you read that first!
