Commander Shepard, foul mouthed fucking paragon of humanity finds herself resurrected like Jesus Fucking Christ, and she's come back with anger she doesn't really understand. She also finds herself drawn to a cranky fucking asshole who gives her just as much shit as she gives him.
He gets what she's been through.
He gets why she wants to put a bullet in between the Illusive Man's freaky ass blue eyes. He might even help her do it.

“What?” Frankie's brows crumpled in together as though she had never considered what the point of continued existence might have been. She definitely had, but she wasn't prone to questions of existential philosophy when someone was hanging ass out of a fucking flying spaceship. The clone released her grip, apparently having decided that there was none. “Oh no you don't, you dumb bitch!” Frankie shouted and rocked forward, locking her hands over her clone's armored vest, and beginning to heave her back.

Summary
Commander Frankie Shepard has only recently returned from death, and she had blessedly forgotten about the existence of Conrad Verner. Until she runs into him making trouble in her name (as if she needs his help with that.)
Her attempt to show him that being a Spectre isn't all it's cracked up to be goes sideways, because, of course it does.
"Yes, Commander," EDI's made-in-a-lab-to-be pleasing voice filled her ears. "Cross-referencing feeds with available port layouts and your geo-location now."
Boom!
Frankie nearly jumped out of her skin. One of the mercenaries she had been watching through her scope fell forward and didn't get back up. "Conrad?" she inhaled.
"Yeah, Shepard?"
"Did you just shoot that merc?"
"Yes!"
Frankie was beginning to suspect that while he had the enthusiasm of a golden retriever, he also had the intelligence of an empty fucking walnut shell.
