Summary
Thanos watches for a moment, amused, and then opens the cage.
He sees Nam-gyu perk up, eyes shining as he watches the door slide ajar — and then shut. As soon as he gets the dirty dish out, Thanos locks the door back up, and Nam-gyu yowls, upset. Thanos ignores it as he walks back to the kitchen and throws the plate in the sink; it’ll be tomorrow’s problem.
With that, he comes back into the living room, looking down at the cage once again expectantly. His eyebrow quirks up as a signal for Nam-gyu to talk.
The black cat stares up at him with wide, unblinking eyes, and then, soft as snow, gives a tiny, “meow…”
“Last chance, little one,” Thanos warns. “You wanna say you’re sorry for this,” he pulls up his sleeve and shows the angry red scratch marks, “or do you wanna spend the night in there?”
Nam-gyu’s little nose scrunches up, making it clear that the answer’s neither.

Summary
Nam-gyu isn’t really a service sub, exactly. He doesn’t help make Thanos’s life easier, after all. He just… makes it better. Makes the chores more fun, makes everything more enjoyable.
Which is why he gets Nam-gyu involved in whatever he needs to do every day.
Grocery shopping? Nam-gyu makes the list.
Cooking? Nam-gyu sits cross-legged on the counter and talks to Thanos while he cooks.
Doing laundry? Nam-gyu folds and puts everything away — but usually shifts into a cat to take a nap in the basket full of hot, clean clothes. Not that Thanos particularly minds; their clothes were gonna get fur all over them anyway.
Nam-gyu is mostly happy to do these things. He’s just happy to be near Thanos in general. It’s real fucking cute. And it’s really weird sometimes that Nam-gyu thinks he’s this mean, horrible person when he’s such a sweetheart with Thanos. Confusing as hell.
