Summary
After his triplet children were born and he was unceremoniously dumped by Rinoa and basically harassed out of Balamb Garden, Squall Leonhart moved across the country to Radiant Garden on the west coast and started over after reuniting with his sister, Ellone, and rediscovering family he hadn't even known were out there looking for him all that time he spent in foster care. He changed his name to Leon Loire, and somehow ended up working for a man, Cid Highwind, who was instrumental in helping Leon get back on his feet. Cid also just so happened to end up being his ex-girlfriend's uncle (small world).
A few years after he gets settled in his new life as Leon Loire, he meets Cid's nephew, Cloud Strife. Cloud crushes hard at first sight and suddenly almost everyone around the pair think it would be absolutely wonderful if the two got together. But Cloud doesn't know that Leon is his cousin's supposedly abusive ex-boyfriend, and Leon isn't sure he's ready to trust anyone with his heart again - especially with someone related to Rinoa. Can Cloud charm this strong hardworking single dad into giving him a chance? Can Leon find it in himself to give Cloud that chance?

Summary
Rinoa finds herself face to face with her ex-boyfriend during a family outing. She chooses to ignore him in order to keep her web of lies intact.
Leon and Cloud continue their quickly evolving relationship and navigate the usual hurdles a couple has in a romantic relationship when one of those partners has kids. They're also occasionally dealing with all of Rinoa's drama as the woman strives to remain the center of attention among her family. She just can't let things rest it seems.
