  Summary

Following the death of Robin of Locksley, King John installs a new Sheriff of Nottingham loyal to him. Sensing the danger they are now in, Lady Marian and her fourteen-year-old son, Robert, flee Nottingham – placing their lands in trust of Robin's loyal servant, Much. Meeting with old friends, Marian and Robert make their way to the Holy Lands: Marian to fulfill her late husband's request that a part of him be buried there; Robert, to come of age in the lands and never-ending war that shaped his father.
