His dreams are full of Obito. The good ones are snatches of memories, missions together that Kakashi once felt were meaningless and now wishes ardently that they could return to. He would pull a hundred weeds, paint a thousand fences, and catch a million ill-tempered cats if it meant that Obito would somehow come back.
The bad ones are about the cave. In those, everything is too real. Every smell, sight, sound is precise and punishing and Kakashi wakes up with the taste of earth and copper on his tongue

Summary
What is a husband, anyway? There’s the romance stuff, but it’s not like there’s anything romantic between him and Kakashi. Kakashi's never seemed to really care about any of the romance stuff. But it’s not just the romance stuff. A husband is supposed to take care of his family, right? Is that what Kakashi wants - someone to take care of him?
He remembers the way Kakashi sobbed the night their team rescued him from the cave, and the way he collapsed against Obito and held on tight until he passed out right there in Obito’s arms.
“He’s been really worried,” Rin said. “I don’t know if he’s been sleeping.”
Maybe Kakashi needs someone to take care of him. Maybe that’s Obito’s responsibility now.
