Summary
The Intricate Markings Of Outworld.
This will be a headcanon series surrounding Erron and Ermac's relationship, with a prompt or headcanon per chapter. Follows the dynamic of the fanon Kotal Krew (Kotal, Reptile, Erron, Ermac, Ferra & Torr, and D'Vorah at times but mostly after she betrayed the Krew). Follows prior to, throughout, and after MKX events, with tiny bits from MK11 and MK1. Some chapters follow up others, but ideally all have individual ideas for the most part.
[EDITED] This series of prompts and headcanons has evolved into a plot, but it provides the foundation for more prompts and headcanons to happen.

Summary
Having liberated the Hourglass and become Keepers of Time, the Shaolin monk Liu Kang and Outworld's Kahn Kitana had the task to restart history. Not beholden to past events, they were free to craft a new era. With humility and restraint, they approached this blank campus together. After careful discussion and preparation, they painted over the darkness. After eons, they had sketched out the realms. After eons more, they brushed them in with life.
In their new era, all beings would have the opportunity to find peace. Whether or not they do, would be their responsibility. For their power only permitted them to begin this endeavor. It became the duty of mortals to finish it.

Summary
It was a light punishment from Kotal, Erron most definitely got off easy after the whole Reiko accords. However, he didn't expect his journey of soul-searching to wound up in the hands of a real soul-searcher. Sent to the Kuatan jungle on orders by Mileena, Ermac is too focused on scouting around to sense the stalking mercenary, until the moment their hands touch.
Stunned, powerless, and electrocuted by a feeling neither of them could easily immerse into. After all, in the technicality that is Outworld's politics, they're enemies.

Erron's birthday is coming up, he and the council realise it while filling out soul-numbing, 'necessary', admin paperwork set by Sonya Blade. None of them were born for this, Ermac the construct was definitely not made to sit and tick boxes, and Kotal Kahn is reaching his limits in ensuring his enforcers- children- complete it all. Fortunately, Ermac figures out a quick solution in the end.
Unfortunately, admin work is not the only devastating thing to Erron that day. He whirls back to the past, bitterly reminiscing his last celebrated birthday and the reason why he never furthermore celebrated it.

And so, when Raiden declares war and punishment on Outworld, Jin wants to try and stop the destruction by seeking an audience from the Outworlders. He gets more than what he bargained for, but he is okay with that.

Summary
After Erron and Ermac's adventures in Earthrealm, hosted by Johnny and Cassie, the emperor returns the favour by allowing the Cages to seek a deeper comprehrension of Outworld's culture, beyond their previously sour experiences and conflictive history. Johnny and Erron pick back up the tension they left in Earthrealm, Cassie meets a friendly Outworlder woman who surpasses her expectations, and Ermac is forced to take care of them all to an exhaustive extent. Eventually, both parties realise that like their time in Earthrealm, there are many similarities and differences through their chaotic adventures.
Will Johnny and Cage's two-day trip be less hectic than the last time? Doubtful. Will they enjoy it nonetheless? Very much so. And Johnny almost captures every second of it on his camera.
