Miho Fujiwara, a young town girl from the city of Kozankyo and the daughter of Mokou Fujiwara, is about to enter adulthood. Miho has known Crown Prince Kichou ever since she was very little, and went to the same school together. When the Gensokyo Socialite Order began an all-out campaign to take back the Gensokyo Continent and avenge Vladrouge Scarlet’s death, she and Kichou began training extensively in the event the Order would invade Kozankyo, the capital of the Federal Kingdom of Gensokyo. When the Order captured Chikurin, Kichou and his stepsisters were sent out to defeat the Order’s admins and top leadership. Miho accompanied him for his safety.
Under a prophecy and after Miho's eighteenth birthday, Queen Marisa is demanding that Kichou uplift her into a princess and start a family. For as long as she can remember, Kangashi Mikoto was born with a gift into the Mikoto Clan, a clan of which has existed since times long forgotten - a clan that serves the will of the gods above, rumoured to descend from Izanagi-no-Mikoto himself. From the young age of ten, Kangashi was appointed the acting Avatar of Izanagi for the newest generation. Each generation comes with newly appointed Avatars the moment they're old enough to take the mantle from their predecessor.
For somebody as kind and creative as Kangashi, she was inaugarated as Izanagi's Avatar. Although, Mikotos are bizarre in the sense that they are vessels for the gods themselves - for their hearts hold a unique resonance which allows them to channel their gods freely, and allows their gods to communicate with and even guide them, even in a world where magic and divinity is practically no longer existent.
Little does she know what her god has in store for her, especially regarding a certain task appointed to her by her god almost a decade since she was inaugarated...
