Summary
John Watson has come home from Reichenbach Falls, alone, and decides to direct his maudlin thoughts about Warlock into writing up some of the cases he hasn’t put on paper yet. Here, he recalls events that started with a visit from a rather earnest young woman in a wedding dress. As the case unfolds, will Warlock and John work out all the things they’re not saying to one another?
“Mr Holmes, I need you to find my fiancé.”
“You’ve mislaid him?” Warlock cocked a perfect eyebrow. “Where was the last place you recall having had him?”
Her pale cheeks turned a lovely shade of pink. ”We discussed it, but I assure you we have not—” Her embarrassment lifted and she giggled, covering her mouth with one gloved hand. “Oh! You didn’t mean…” Warlock glanced at me and I gestured at him to shush before he spoke out of turn. “In the graveyard. I last left my dear Mr Angel in the graveyard.”Series
