    Summary

A play—especially one featuring children—should never have to end in blood.
In Felicity, faith is a dangerous art. The Playwright writes forbidden stories of the Harkers, performed by four masked children who call themselves the Lark.
When a riot leaves one child broken and the Playwright touched by something divine—and unkind—the household begins to unravel. Outside, the town turns against them. Inside, whispers linger where prayers used to live.
Some wonders, it seems, were never meant to be sung aloud.

    or

A riot. A wounded child. A deity that remembers.
The Lark still sings—but the Playwright no longer knows if they should.
