Summary
'Who else on this Earth would ever be able to find it in themselves to love him; a beast?'
The year is 1904, in Lumiere - society is heavily based around art and artists, in an attempt to try and get the royal family back. Anyone who falls outside that category is simply an outcast. In a family of well-respected writers: Gustave Auclair, an engineer, and his little sister, Maelle, a swordswoman, fall into that category of misfits. Not that they mind, they have their supportive family, as well as each other. What more could they want?
Verso Dessendre, the cursed and lost prince of Lumiere, only has six months to rid his family of the curse that had been set upon them by a sorceress ten years ago. Otherwise, on his 33rd birthday, his whole cursed family will turn to stone. They all had their faults, there were many reasons they were cursed, but Verso in particular has the hardest task of all: to take back a lie he had said. To care and love someone, and have that care and love reciprocated. After an Earthquake and subsequent fracture, their castle broke apart from the main country, forming their own little continent. They hadn't seen a real person in a decade.
It was hopeless... right?

What if Verso wasn't the one who died in the Writer's fire... but instead it was his little sister, Alicia? What if 'her' undead soul was the one being tortured in the canvas, thanks to him?
How far would someone go to keep the people they love safe? How far would someone go to finally lay themselves to rest? When do painted fiction and harsh reality begin to bleed together, unable to tell one from the other?
Is love enough of a driving force to stop a group of people from marching towards their own certain death? Or is it the spark that ignites the flame? -

A small blooper from the "Une Vie a Décembre" universe!
Gustave was happy with his life, life with Maelle was going well, he had the most passionate lover he could ever imagine in the form of Verso Dessendre. If life was going to keep going up from here, what else could Gustave expect?
Well it definitely wasn't the random stranger Maelle met one day while out, and it most certainly wasn't this new revelation that Verso dropped on him in regards to Maelle's upcoming performance.

A blooper from the "Une Vie a Décembre" universe!
Maelle is back at school (dreadfully), but Verso sneaking her out of class makes the day much more interesting. What started out as a simple outing slowly takes a small turn for the worse. Verso won't have none of it.
Meanwhile, Gustave is grateful to have Verso in his life, protecting his girl, integrating into their little family. He never dreamt of having a life this rich when he first adopted Maelle all those years ago. he can't help but think about how far they have come.

Summary
Verso Dessendre had one person in his life. His inspiration, his sole purpose for living in this facade of a family; his six year old little sister, Alicia. When a fire took over their home, caused by the Writers, and Alicia was nowhere to be found, everyone assumed she had perished. They had nothing to prove it. But she couldn't have. She was too smart for that, too pure for that. She couldn't have.
And he would spend the rest of his days searching for her.
Gustave Auclair wanted kids oh so desperately, but with his girlfriend Sophie not wanting any, despite his best attempts at convincing her, he respectfully took it as a sign that children were not in the cards for him. That is, until, he finds a small little girl unconcious in the snow, her head resting against the train tracks he had helped to build all those months ago. With no memories of her past life, and no family come to claim her, he takes her under his gaurdianship, despite the distress of his partner.
Maelle was family, and he would never go back on family.
Ten years pass, and soon the past, present and future will all collide in a case of lost memories, found family, and even perhaps, a love that transcends all tragedy.Series
