Despite all the years gone by, Eddie Munson will never forget the family he had to leave. It hits him, now and then, like a punch in the chest leaving him winded.
When he sinks into the couch to braid Max Mayfields' red hair, brushing it off of her pale face. Suddenly He sees wild brown curls instead of red waves and feels a debilitating shudder of shame go through him. The shame of both current and past acts of cowardice. Actions he can never take back and people who should never forgive him. Ever.
