Summary
Peter Parker is fifteen years old and has three identities to keep separate: a pupil at Midtown High, Spider-Man, and Tony Stark’s personal intern. After the Civil War ended without any rifts, the Avengers have remained united, and Peter trains regularly with Steve and Natasha, works in the lab with Tony, and has even fallen in love — and had his feelings reciprocated — with Wanda Maximoff. To his classmates, however, he’s just an ordinary lad who claims to be doing an internship at Stark Industries.
When the annual school trip is organised to take place at the Avengers’ compound, Peter realises that his fragile web of lies is in danger of unravelling. He has a month to prepare, and he spends it begging the team not to cause any trouble. Wanda threatens anyone who plays pranks. Tony promises. Clint promises. Even Sam promises.
But on the day of the trip, between an AI greeting him by name, an Avenger ruffling his hair and calling him ‘Stark Junior’, and a slip of the tongue that blows his cover, Peter discovers that his colleagues’ good intentions are worth less than nothing.
