The younger man was now leaning back, resting on his elbows, his lovely skin soaking up the sun.
“You’ll need sun cream, Jamie,” the Doctor said.
He turned over in response, revealing his beautiful back. “Ye offering tae help?”
His companion was trying to kill him. Well, he’d brought this upon himself many times over but that was besides the point.The Doctor wants to spend a nice day with Jamie by the secluded seaside but his companion is too impatient for all that. So he decides a compromise is needed.

What could he even say to that? Hello, Jamie. I’m an alien and you used to travel with me through time and space. You lost several years worth of memories because of that. I’ve been lost without you for half a century on my own doing things you would probably despise so I could get you back. Please come home to my time machine. I need you to travel with me again.
He figured if he said all that Jamie would call him a mad man and draw his knife again.Series 6B: The Doctor comes back for Jamie and helps him remember what he's lost.
