Summary
“Y-You,” Buck swallows a needy sound, groaning softly as Eddie licks a warm stripe up Buck’s neck, nibbling gently—mindful of how sharp his teeth are, and how they will draw blood if Eddie presses too hard—at the bolt of Buck’s jaw, urging him on with a soft, hmm? pressed into his skin. “Y-unnmh… You e-eating me out under the water t-annn—that one time."
Eddie groans in the back of his throat, tail shifting along the sand, and hips bucking forward to press against Buck’s ass at the reminder of that time. “I could hear you, even under the water, crying out my name,” Eddie groans, whispering into Buck’s neck and making him shiver. “You tasted so fucking good, like sin.”

Summary
When the firefighter walks into Eddie's coffeeshop, Eddie immediately knows two things about him: he's not human, and he's the love of Eddie's life.
Oh, he knows a bunch of other things too, obviously. He's about thirty, a few months younger than Eddie himself. He has a scar on his throat, like he got stabbed there, and one of his legs has some metal rods in it that must have come from a bad injury. The guy doesn't know he's not human, which is a tricky thing to figure out, but Eddie's almost positive. Most of the non-humans he knows have always known they aren't people, but there are exceptions, and they tend to carry themselves differently. Ana before her first full moon as a werewolf had a very different vibe from Ana after.
The firefighter moves like he knows he doesn't belong, but not like he knows why. Like he's afraid of taking up space, afraid of being noticed.
As if Eddie is even capable of not noticing him.

Summary
He’s speeding down the street and veering through traffic and lights to get to Buck in time. He thinks the worst, and his racing thoughts cause tears to stream down his face. He’s quick to wipe them away, though, so they don’t cloud his vision as he speeds to the apartment. Eddie continues to beat himself up, knowing this is all his fault, and partially the fault of the rest of their team, but mostly his own. His best friend needed him, and Eddie was too busy letting out his anger to notice his best friend sinking further down the rabbit hole of depression and guilt.
Or... Eddie finds a questionable voicemail from Buck and thinks the absolute worst and rushes over to stop his friend from doing the unthinkable. Will he make it in time? And if he does, will Buck come back to the golden retriever he once was, or will his insecurities get the best of him?

Summary
The point is Buck’s good looking and he seems to know it, yet despite all the people that they meet on calls that ask for his number – guys and women – he always says no.
It’s like the guy’s allergic to getting laid.
