Summary
Narvin doesn't trust this new Romana and her dangerous, paradox inducing plan. He is lured in by her charm anyway. He would do anything for his President, so why does Trey feel the need to try so hard to get him to trust her. And he really doesn't want to do this, so this "Trey" must not truly be his Romana. He must play along anyway. He's probably being paranoid, right?
Narvin's thoughts during the the scene from 6.2 Renaissance, where they are speaking alone at some sort of outdoor overlook, and Trey is laying the flirting and flattery on thick, but I make the scene even more overtly romantic because this is fanfiction. Including a flashback from Extermination, Romana's speech about the "last sunset". That was touching. You know the one.
Narvin realizes he wants to kiss Romana.

Why'd it take the Doctor a second try to get Jamie's face right on that puzzle? He'd have thought after all this time, the Doctor would know him better than that.
Why does it bother Jamie so much?The Doctor makes it up to him.

Summary
Jamie Mccrimmon knows who he is. He's a piper, fighting for Scotland against the Hanover usurpers of the Stuart throne. Except...he wakes up, in a battle he already lived to see end, with soldiers over him. There are changes to his body he never imagined happening, and he keeps seeing strange visions, but he doesn't have time to question when soldiers are trying to hunt down anyone who fought for Bonnie Prince Charlie. He does the only thing he can - he runs, ignoring the strange knowledge he seems to have gained with no context for where it's from.
Meanwhile, the Doctor has been forced into servitude by the Time Lords in order to stay his execution. His current mission? Investigate a temporal anomaly in Scotland. Though far into the future of the man he loved, he can't help but be reminded.

This story picks up after the ending of The Way of Water, with the huge canon divergence that Neteyam does not succumb to his injuries and instead survives. But at what cost? He now needs to redefine how he sees himself after his injury leaves him unable to continue on his warrior son path.
Meanwhile, as the war to protect Pandora is only getting started, Jake and his family must once again answer the call to action. Only this time with the bull's eye painted directly on their backs, and with the Sky People gearing up for an attack on a much larger scale, they need to recruit more allies than they've ever thought possible.
