He took the spotlight from then on, genius Slytherin boy, top of class for all time, the fastest and the most agile Seeker Hogwarts has ever seen.
It hurt to no longer be in the limelight, to always be in his shadow. But she can't help admiring him, he was kind, compassionate, and a competent leader. And he's incredibly attractive too.
In which Astrid and Hiccup have a confrontation that ends with a twist. Pre-relationship, silly teenagers.

Fox was trained to be an elite soldier for years on Kamino. To fight alongside Jedi to defend the Republic. Instead, he does the very necessary work of guarding Coruscant. A job that involves more doing the Coruscant police's job and babysitting the senate than it should. But Fox is a vode and he is loyal and he will do his job to the best of his considerable ability.
This does not stop Fox from wanting to bang his head into his desk and keep it there because of all the superfluous paperwork when Thire shows up with a lost pet fox. And that's before a senator goes missing.

Summary
Hiccup and Astrid are two people on complete opposite ends of the spectrum. Hiccup is ADHD with tattoos and piercings and a mechanical engineering major. Astrid is beautiful blonde and smart and studying law. They're completely different. It'd take a miracle for them to even get physically close to each other.
Well that miracle may just come in the form of Ruffnut and Tuffnut Thorston, who are sick of the two of them mooning over each other from a distance.
