“Oh,” Alex says, the flush deepening on his cheeks as he pauses to consider Henry’s words. “So you’re saying I look fuckable? I mean, okay. That’s not exactly a problem, is it?”
“Those were not the words I used,” Henry says, his own cheeks heating at the images Alex’s words inspired. Henry is the furthest thing from a prude and he can’t deny the truth in what Alex was saying. Alex always looked, in his opinion, like a wet dream come to life. But still. Some decorum would be nice. And there was a point to what Henry was clumsily trying to say. “I simply meant that there will be countless men throwing themselves at your feet. So if that’s not something you’re comfortable with maybe we should change the venue or—”
“What am I? Homophobic?” Alex asks, cutting Henry off.
“Alex, that is not—” Is all Henry manages before he’s cut off again.
“No, I know. And like, don’t worry about it. That’s kind of the point anyway.”
