Summary
When Penelope fled that night after failing to receive Lord Debling's proposal, the next-to-last thing she ever thought would happen was Colin coming after her. The actual last thing she thought would happen was that he would propose after confessing his unyielding love for her and giving her the most life-changing experience right there on the rear quarter of her family's carriage. So, when they arrive at Bridgerton House and he steps out to escort her inside, she never expected to hear the one thing that would make all her childhood dreams come true.
It's just unfortunate that her legs weren't going to allow her any dignity following her response. But at least Colin pays it no mind... not in a serious way, anyway.
[A near 2,000 word ficlet/one-shot on the What-if scenario of when Penelope falls out of the carriage in the book but in the vein of the show. Feelings, playfulness, unintentional double entendres, and a micro-dose of disbelief bordering close to disillusionment on Penelope's part ensue.]

Summary
For the casually unobservant, one would think that the relationship between Ms. Featherington and Mr. Bridgerton was only that of innocent friendship. Nothing more than easy-going familiarity built up through the many years they'd known each other. Which is why, to the casually unobservant, it seems so sad and pitiful that Ms. Featherington believes there could ever be a chance between the two of them.
However, for the genuinely observant out there, there is more of a chance than some may think. Penelope herself can attest, even with all her insecurities.

Summary
Penelope doesn't need Colin to save her. She only needs him to stand by her. To hold her. To kiss her.
But, perhaps even if she does not *need* to be saved, she does not have to do everything all on her own. Not anymore. Colin has some words for the Queen.
This alternate ending leans slightly less "girl boss" and slightly more "romance novel" than the real ending of season 3, with Colin's appeal to the Queen and an extended happily ever after sequence.

Zippers. Lots of zippers. Really impractically placed zippers that looked like they were just begging for wardrobe failure. Especially with just how much they were supporting.
This woman had stolen billions of yen's worth of valuables over the past five years, and hadn't been caught once.
Akira couldn't quite decide how he felt about... all that.
