Summary
The mattress shifted, Buck started to pull away, his heat disappearing from his side.
His hand shot out, wrapping around Buck’s middle, dragging him back in with surprising strength for someone who was barely awake.
“Move and I’m breaking up with you,” he mumbled into Buck’s skin, voice gravelly and thick with sleep.
Buck snorted, laughter low and fond. “You wouldn’t.”
“Wanna try me?”
Buck stilled, before he softly answered, “...Five more minutes.”
He smiled, slow and smug, lips brushing against the curve of Buck’s neck.
“Good boy.”

“Buck, can you give me a hand for a second?”
“Be right there, Cap,” Buck called back softly. Moving carefully, he tried to slide out from under Eddie without waking him.
But as he shifted, Eddie stirred trying to snuggle closer, his brow furrowing as he mumbled, “Ev… baby…” He pouted, looking heartbreakingly adorable.
Buck chuckled, brushing a thumb gently over Eddie’s cheek. “Shh, it’s okay,” he whispered. “Go back to sleep.”
Eddie relaxed instantly, letting out a soft sigh and snuggling back into the couch.
Buck got up, still grinning to himself, but when he turned around, he froze. Chim, Hen, and Bobby were all staring at him, expressions ranging from mischievous to downright gleeful.
Chim folded his arms, a smirk stretching across his face. “What did he just say?”
