“You were incapacitated by two children. But no matter, we traded up from that baby dragon anyways.” She smiled, gesturing towards the door in front of her. “My research tells me that this one can provide much more power than your usual dragon. And, it doesn't bite.”

A snarl from Phil’s direction catches his attention, what he saw only enraged him further. The man had a tight fist in the avian’s hair, iron blade pressed against his throat. Phil was glaring, defiant as always, but Techno could see the concealed fear in his expression. He takes a menacing step forward, the man pushes the blade closer to Phil’s neck.
“Settle down brute, wouldn’t want me to slit your birdy’s throat, would you?” The hunter’s voice is taunting, Techno’s lip curls in the beginnings of a snarl.

That’s the one thing that’s a solid, Techno is his north, something that will be unmoving, that will remain forever. No matter how many times he has doubts or questions it, Technoblade will stay. At least that’s what he thought, but now the fucking rug’s been pulled out from under him, Phil’s hit his head hard on the floor, and when he tries to get up it feels like someone’s taken hold of his skull and smashed it against the stone brick wall.
