    Summary

“Here.” And inside the man’s hand was a white carnation. Before Tommy could question the stubbed flower, the braided-haired man stepped forward and placed it inside Tommy’s breast pocket, tampering with it until he was pleased with the position.

“Never should that flower leave your possession. It is yours,” spoke the debonair man, voice smooth and seldom previously but now edged with a calm acceptance, before turning; the rich fabric flowing and swirling around him, and sauntered far from his position.

“Pardon me,” Tommy called out, his voice capturing the man’s attention as he witnessed him pause mid-stride and glance over his shoulder. “I do not wish to have them in my care. Take them back.”

“No.” the man simply retorted without hesitation, stoic and firm with his decision. “I gave them to you out of consideration. It would be rude to disregard them in a manner.”

“And why should I? You cannot force me to do anything I do not wish to do.”

“Because I gave them to you.”

Or, Tommy was dragged to a masquerade party, hoping to stay out trouble. Oh, how terribly wrong he was to hope for such a thing.

for thirty seconds, you’re not where you were.
wrong room, wrong perspective, wrong body.

it was the kind of thing easier to rationalise than believe, until someone else recognises it too.

    chrollo lucilfer.

a man whose name alone is enough to reroute operations. the very kind of person your work exists to avoid. the kind who, somehow, ends up sitting across from you anyway.
eventually, you agreed to an assessment. but somewhere between the lines, you suspected you’d agreed to far more.

or, you soulmate-bond with one of the worst possible candidates and he decided you’re worth looking into

    Summary

This was Marco's first ball! The Blood Moon Ball! After months of training and promises, the day was finally here. Getting dressed in his bathroom, he studied his appearance in the mirror, taking in how much more elegant he looked already. Then he noticed something. A red crescent had appeared on the glass, looking almost like it was dripping. Yet, when he went to touch it, he slipped. Instead of smacking into the glass like he expected, he fell through it.

    -.-.-

What happens if Tom and Marco meet before they meet? What happens when Marco receives visions, premonitions? What happens if everything was so much larger than it originally seemed?

    Summary

He broke one of the most well-known rules when it comes to being a lawyer. He did not keep himself emotionally detached from you. Although how could he not? You were such a beautiful person, and along with your looks, your personality was just as attractive to be around, so that even he, himself, began to look forward to just talking to you.

Higuruma knew that he had messed up by breaking this rule and that he should find you a different lawyer just as good as him, but he couldn’t. He was confident that no other lawyer could do as good a job defending you as he could. No other lawyer had the intelligence to capture your true nature as well as he could —or at least that’s what he convinced himself.

So while he had a good reason to suggest another lawyer to you, he had an even better reason to keep you.
