Instead, Robby stares Jack down from two feet away. He leans his elbow on the edge of the couch, and oh so gently places his other hand on the knee of Jack’s left leg.
And then he leans forward slightly, head tilted, and asks, “kiss me?”

"Hey, buddy…" Jack murmured in a low voice.
