As she works on catching her breath, Ran dares to look down. Lene is there, watching her, chin resting on one of Ran's thigh, lips swollen and glistening. Hands moving in a comforting pattern on the outside of Ran's legs.
Lene is not always verbal in her expressions, a lifetime of feeling as if emotion was something to be punished had greatly stilted her ability to be vulnerable in that way, but her eyes provided any and all answers Ran had ever sought out. They're focused entirely on her now, from Lene's kneeling position, open and devastating.
