Summary
Momo Ayase and Ken "Okarun" Takakura have been in love for six years.
Six pathetic years of pining. Six years of refusing to act, ignoring all the signs.
Six years of still prioritizing each other above all else, because obviously, that's what best friends do.After Okarun receives a failing grade on his senior thesis and Momo discovers that her latest crappy boyfriend's been cheating on her, they decide that the best way to blow off steam would be to get drunk.
Because that's what best friends are for, right?

Summary
‘Hey, are you okay?’
Red was startled from his thoughts very suddenly, and tried not to think about how Yellow’s timing always seemed to be eerily perfect. He was pretty certain she could only read the minds of pokémon and not people, but she certainly made him doubt that every now and then.
When he realised he’d been sitting in the grass of their garden for several minutes or so, aimlessly grooming the same spot of Pika’s fur just to keep his hands busy, he came to the conclusion that it had likely been Pika who’d grown worried about him, and Yellow had picked up on that.
‘I’m—’
At the distinct crackling sound of electricity being charged, Red quickly swallowed the “I’m fine” he’d been meaning to give them, and pondered a little longer about how to respond. Pika had no qualms about zapping him if he refused to talk about what was worrying him.
Combined with the worried expression Yellow gave him, Red was forced to realise he was outnumbered.
‘Having a quarter-life crisis?’ he tried lightening the mood with some humour.

Or: Red worries about the future. Yellow makes him realise he'll be fine so long as his loved ones are part of said future.

Summary
Red had always been an active person.
He may have gotten a little less impulsive over the years, but he’d never quite gotten the hang of sitting still and doing nothing at all. When he wasn’t running around trying to save the world – or at least the Kanto region – for the umpteenth time, he was either busy training his pokémon, or improving his own physical strength.
For Red to always be moving around, either by walking, running, training, or even just by bouncing his leg or tapping his foot if he was sitting down, was nothing unusual. Which was perhaps the very reason why a certain underlying issue had gone unnoticed for so long.
It wasn’t until the two of them moved in together that Yellow realised Red’s constant moving around wasn’t just a matter of him being active; he seemed incapable of relaxing at all.
---
Or: Red struggles with sitting still after being turned into a statue one too many times. Yellow helps as best she can.
