Summary
Banished from the Ice Kingdom, on the very day of the beloved Icewing festival he is mourning, Winter finds himself dragged to the rainforest for a Jade Winglet get-together. Irritating as they've been lately, Winter isn't quite ready to confront the fact that it is just possible he might miss his winglet over the Academy's winter break - so he slips away, to the comfort of a familiar Nightwing elder (who, he maintains, is not as ancient as she likes to act).
But, of course, Winter will have to face his feelings eventually - for his Icewing-ness, for his winglet, and for the Nightwing among them... especially her. And he will - but three moons, is it really necessary they act so mysterious and secretive about this whole trip?
