Summary
Last night my older sister and mother were talking about this wrinkle prevention oil, my sister saying it's good to start using it around 24 or so, and my mother bemoaning not being able to use such a thing sooner. I found the whole thing a bit sad. So, I wrote this off the dome poem.

Summary
Though everyone was born with one odd eye, it hardly ever made a visible difference. Due to the fact that few people actually would ever leave the place of their birth, they usually shared the same eye color as their eventual soulmate. Water Tribe members fell for people they grew up with, those with the same vibrant cerulean eyes as their own. This was especially true of the Southern Water Tribe, which was much smaller and more disconnected from the outside world than their sister tribe. For the most part, if you were born there, you stayed there, and your soulmate was in the same situation.
However, when the word got out that the color of the chief's son's soulmate’s eyes were gold… excitement turned into fear. No matter how much anyone wanted to deny it, gold eyes were a trait exclusive to the people of the Fire Nation. And, of course, seeing their future chief with such a trait was terrifying.
Especially once Chieftess Kya was murdered in a Fire Nation raid.

Summary
Sokka was immediately filled with a sense of dread. He looked down at his wrist.
Two swords crossed over each other, surrounded by an intricate design of lilies. Red lilies.
Sokka gasped, rubbing at his mark in an attempt to wipe it off. It had to be some kind of mistake. There was no way his soulmark was red. It couldn't be.

Zuko took a few deep breaths, leaning against the post. He was simply imagining things. His tutors always said he had an overactive imagination. That's all it was.
Slowly, he lifted his arm into his eyesight again, looking closer this time.
Yeah. That was definitely a soulmark. And it was blue.

Summary
“Haruka-kun,” Natsume sighs, “youkai are one thing. Humans, if I punch them… they come back. And I’m the one at fault. Sometimes they hit back harder, with more people, and I can’t defend against that.”
Sakura scoffs. “If they come after you more than you can handle, I’ll be there.”
Realistically, they can’t always be there for each other. But knowing that there’s someone out there that will be there for them, even if the world’s against them— it’s assuring enough.

Summary
The man’s voice once again broke him from his thoughts; “In my dreams I see them tortured by Fire Nation soldiers. I see my entire culture wiped from the South, our footprint upon the ice shelves gone as though we never existed, our connection with the spirits and our ancestors forgotten.” He was silent for the briefest of moments, then, “You’re Fire Nation, aren’t you?”
Zuko rolled onto his side, facing the wall, scar pressed into the arm that cushioned his head. “Once, maybe.”
“Answer me this, then; when will this war see it's end?”
Zuko, recalling the fire that had burned in Azula’s sunlit gaze the day she’d caught up to him, chose not to respond.
