“Don’t hit me if I’m reading this wrong. I’m delicate. Weak heart, you know. Natasha is right. I was pulling your pigtails.” Tony said. He got out of his chair, sliding over to straddle Steve’s lap. Steve stopped breathing. “And you’re pulling mine.”
“We’re… pulling pigtails?” Steve asked.
“Yep.” Tony obnoxiously popped the P. “Like little boys at the playground. They don’t know how to tell little Sally they like her, so they pull on her pigtails instead. Or in this case, little Steve.”

Summary
Natasha had seen many agents in her time during her missions with the Red Room. But there was something about Clint Barton that was different. Every agent had a wall in front of them, making themselves jaded to do what they had to do. But when she’d first met Barton, the wall in front of him wasn’t built out of brick or stone.
It was a glass wall. One that protected Clint, but allowed her to see through it—to see him.
It was also breakable, and he’d trusted her not to shatter it into pieces.

This is a fic that goes from Natasha’s recruitment to the events of Endgame. However, these events loosely follow canon to make Clint and Natasha together and to make the characters I want alive, alive. Because what else are fanfics for if not for wish fulfillment? :)

Summary
Thor and Bruce are briefly alone in the tower after The Battle of New York. Despite the bleeding stab wound, and the awkwardness of talking to a borderline-stranger you punched earlier, it's not at all as messy as it should be.
They end up in the same position after the Avengers reach their endgame, this time without fresh wounds and with a decade of friendship and understanding.
It's a car crash.

Summary
They told Clint that the Black Widow was a monster, a ghost, a trained weapon designed to kill.
What they didn't tell him was that she'd open the door barefoot, bruised after a mission went south, holding a gun in one hand and a sleeping toddler in the other.
"Please," she says, voice shaking despite the way she's aiming the pistol straight at his chest. "If you are here to kill me, just do it quietly. She just fell asleep,"
Hawkeye was supposed to take the shot and go home. Instead, he finds a terrified nineteen-year-old trying to keep her daughter fed, hidden and alive while half the world hunts her down.
And yeah - the Black Widow can kill a man in under ten seconds but she's also exhausted, scared out of her mind and standing in a shitty apartment whispering Russian lullabies to a little girl who clings to her like she's the only safe thing in the world.
So, Clint makes a different call - no shot, no mission complete, just - "Pack a bag , Natalia. We gotta go, Now."Turns out saving the Black Widow is a lot harder than killing her. Especially when she doesn't trust anyone, the kid keeps stealing his arrows and SHIELD would really like to know why Clint couldn't complete the mission.
