Summary
Problem AU. In this version of Britain, the battle against the Problem is the responsibility of The Queen's Ministry of Psychical Defence and the youths volunteering for the Spirit Corps, with harsh laws preventing civilians from engaging with the paranormal. Only, the Ministry's Truth, where the Problem is well under control, isn't quite the truth Lucy is living in.
Anthony Lockwood is the Ministry's youngest agent, eighteen and already shaping up to be one of the few adults who keep their Talent. Lucy is a conscript from a small northern town, sentenced for Visitor-related crimes to a life as a Ministry asset until they deem her rehabilitated from her lawless ways or, more likely, her death. Their paths cross when Lockwood is assigned as Lucy's handler. Bonds are forged. Trust and loyalties are tested.

Summary
There are a lot of stories about the seventh daughter of a seventh daughter. Lucy's great-grandmother knows only wickedness can come from such a creature. We all know she is wrong.
Three chapters, three generation's of women. This is the story of Lucy's grandmother, her mother and Lucy herself. They each have one chapter. Her grandmother's and mother's chapters are angsty. A lot of the characters die beause we're talking decades here. Lucy's chapter, the third one, isn't nearly as angsty. Expect a generous sprinkle of Lucy/Lockwood family fluff as a sweet dessert to the bitter meal.
To be honest I can't imagine anyone being very interested in the first two chapters lol. I've just always loved stories that cover decades like this.

Summary
(Post-canon case-fic set after TEG. I've spent months writing and editing this damn thing, so it's nothing if not ambitious lol. Give it a chance if you like. I think the story is pretty decent)
--
If you'd told me at fifteen that the end of the Problem would come, not because the ghosts were gone, but by some stupid political decree—I'd had taken you for a conspiracy loon. Perhaps it's always up to children and wierdos to point out that the emperor is parading around in his birthday suit. We bloody well noticed.
This is the story of Lockwood & Co's last major case in the old world, and the first proper one in the new one. A case which—if I'm being perfectly honest—might be better described as a heist.
