“Hey!” he defended. “That one wasn’t my fault.”
Rolling his eyes as the two older men started laughing, he turned to grab a mini quiche from the table before letting his gaze settle on Tony across the room.
“Anyway, I figured I’d leave Tony to his schmoozing while I did literally anything else.”
Tony caught his gaze and smirked at him over the rim of his scotch glass, taking extra care to lick any residual moisture from his lip when he was done. Peter’s eyes tracking the movement as his boyfriend returned his attention to the group he was talking to.
“Sam, any guesses for that anything dear old bug boy was hoping to do?” Bucky snickered.
“Aw, man. Now you’ve got me picturing it,” Sam groaned, causing Peter to chuckle. “Don’t laugh. Ugh, I’m gonna need to bleach my eyes now because of you.”

Peter and Tony decide to go public about their relationship during the fifth annual restoration gala. That would be fine, except Tony just can’t keep his hands to himself when Peter starts talking science while also wearing a suit.
At least they made it to a private room first, I guess.
