Summary
Kaveh found out that Alhaitham had been in love with someone since they were students at the Akademiya. Apparently, everyone knew about it since it was so obvious, but nobody would tell him who it is. Kaveh is unable to figure out who no matter how hard he tried.
And he is so miserable, because he wants Alhaitham to be happy with that person, but he's in love with Alhaitham, too...

They had both been children at the beginning of the war, but Aemond had shaped himself into a man, into an alpha who deserved the crown that he had won. And though he had burned half of Westeros to claim it, it was worth it. It had to be worth it - the death, the smoke, the dragons slain and left to rot in lakes and valleys where their bones would be stolen as mythical keepsakes by the small folk and ground into powders by superstitious hedge witches. He had preserved Lucerys, an ill-gotten bastard from the loins of his whore elder sister, out of necessity. A Targaryen was a Targaryen, bastard or no, and Lucerys was an omega with dragon blood in his veins. It was worth it to keep him alive, Aemond told himself, for practicality’s sake. He was a pawn held close, useful in the right moment.
