Okay, Shang Qinghua would fully admit that he had gotten caught up in researching siren lore the last few days. It made sense that his brain had decided to hallucinate a sexy merman!
Movement caught the corner of his eye and Shang Qinghua followed it, wobbling as he shifted. It was a gold fin, translucent and fanning out around himself. And it was attached to his hip. Where his legs had once been, was now a long, golden-scaled tail, flanked with shimmery golden fins that faded into pink and Shang Qinghua would have thought them very pretty, like a sunset.
Except they were attached to him!
Shang Qinghua was a merman???
