    It was sticky, for one. Got everywhere. The smell was sometimes potent too—all coppery and thick. It was suffocating.

    She hated how it stained everything. Clothes, skin, the tips of her fingernails even after she’d spent all afternoon filing them while he roughhoused with Panda or something. It was unrelenting and vicious and ugly. 

    Mostly though, Yuji knew she hated it because it meant someone was hurt. Or dead.

    “Don’t mention it,” He smiles warmly as he carefully sets the soup into Megumi’s lap. Yuuji’s physical actions towards him are always so gentle he realizes. Despite the boy's ability to literally punch through concrete, he makes the decision to be soft towards Megumi, he makes the choice.

    Megumi is injured on a mission and it lingers.
