They called themselves visitors.
Monsters who dig themselves out of the ground with their own hands, pretending to be human as they hide away from the sun. The homeowner didn’t believe that visitors existed; he simply thought that the FEMA announcements were just the ramblings of a crazy person.
One who couldn’t tell fact from fiction.
He believed that fact until he met… him.
He was tall, too tall, like his limbs were being stretched. He was pale with a long grin that looked like he wanted to devour you whole. His teeth were perfectly white, a stark contrast to the man’s tarnished appearance. The homeowner stood still as he saw the pale man through the peephole.
