    Summary:
    Heaven wins. Crowley endures divine vengeance to be reunited with his partner Aziraphale. Alongside other beings who dare to love the opposition, the two of them unwittingly become embroiled in a dangerous power grab that destabilizes Heaven. After the rebels, spies, and monarch butterflies, what will it mean to forgive?

    Excerpt:
    And there’s something frantic in the way Crowley presses their bodies together now. It’s as if he means to fuse them, lithe and soft, into an alloy that cannot be unmade. To mold them into a shape so structurally sound that it will bear up against Heaven’s machinations.

    Dedication:
    For all the little birds determined to fly across the universe as many times as necessary to wear down the mountain.

    Summary

    “I’m sorry,” he registered himself saying between heaving sobs. “I’m so sorry, Crowley, I’m so sorry. Forgive me, please, please forgive me.”
    He hadn’t meant to say it like that, he knew the words were all wrong (he would never find the right ones). But the pain was coming at him in every direction and something, something had to give, and so he clung to Crowley like a life preserver.
    Crowley bent his body over Aziraphale’s and slowly, surely, pressed a kiss to his bloodied forehead.
    “I can’t,” he whispered, and Aziraphale went unconscious.

    Summary

    "How could you just leave me like that, leave Earth?!" Crowley screamed, coming to a stop just in front of Aziraphale and falling to his knees. "You fucking... stupid, idiotic bastard! Why did it take you so long to come back?!" Aziraphale said nothing. He looked down at Crowley with tears streaming from his eyes, yet a look of unmistakeable emptiness that terrified the demon. This was Aziraphale's face, certainly, but Crowley did not know if he was staring into the same soul or not.

    /////

    It’s been a few months since Crowley last saw Aziraphale, and in that time he has distracted himself from their last meeting (and first kiss) with teaching Muriel about Earth and discovering accidental glimpses of their own religious trauma. Meanwhile, Crowley is unaware of what Aziraphale has been put through by the Metatron back up in Heaven, but revelations will hit him the day of the Second Coming when he finally comes face to face with his angel once more.

    (Aka a fic about Crowley and Aziraphale fighting against the Second Coming, while the Metatron is intent on stopping them at every turn. Also… angsty flashbacks with a healthy dose of hurt/comfort >:)
